(Senior) R&D Project Manager (m/f/d)

The R&D Project Manager is a key role within the R&D team and will oversee the development program of the next generation platform for multi-omics single cell analysis tools and assays and ensures timely and efficient progress toward project milestones. 


What you will be doing:
  • Oversee individual development projects (device, software, assays) within the Company's R&D programs, ensuring they meet specified objectives and remain within budget and time constraints. 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall program goals. 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timeline estimations, and risk assessments. 

  • Facilitate effective communication across project teams to ensure alignment and to address any potential obstacles promptly. 

  • Track, report, and present project progress to senior management. 

  • Collaborate/interact with external partners for product design and development.

  • Ensure project documentation is created, maintained, and organized in accordance with company policies and regulations. 

  • Manage contract manufacturers as part of the manufacturing transfer and commercialization process. 


Your profile
  • Master´s degree in Natural Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or other related disciplines; PhD preferred. 

  • 2-5 years of project management experience in R&D new product development (NPD) in the life sciences tools industry. 

  • Familiarity with biomedical engineering, bioimaging, genomics, or (bio-)medical devices. 

  • Professional certification in project management such as CAPM, or PMP is highly desirable. Knowledge or certification in Lean, Scrum, or Disciplined Agile methodologies is a plus. 

  • Experience in document control systems and ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is a plus. 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion. 

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using project management tools and software. 

  • Ability to work efficiently in both independent and team-based environments.
