Programmer – Image and Signal Processing [f/m/d]

Your mission
With immediate effect, we are looking to hire a Programmer – Image and Signal Processing (f/m/d) into our Data Science team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, testing & deployment of image data analysis software, tools, and pipelines on data produced by our instruments. 
 
This is a full-time role, based in the company’s headquarters in Monheim am Rhein in Germany. It comes with the opportunity to work with other sites and external partners around the world. You will report to the team lead, Image and Signal Analysis, who is also based in Monheim am Rhein. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely within teams to develop new and improved image and signal processing software, tools, and pipelines for multi-modal microscopy images 
  • Collect requirements from team members and other project teams 
  • Support internal users of image processing tools and pipelines 
  • Work effectively with internal developersscientists and external contractors in achieving shared project goals and timelines 
  • Responsible for personal work planning against agreed-upon objectives


Your profile
  • Minimum, Master degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, software engineering or equivalent 
  • 2+ years practical experience in the development of image processing and signal extraction, preferably for microscopy images, preferably in a commercial setting
  • Hands-on experience coding using C++CUDA libsPython with data processing libs 
  • Hands-on experience using GitHubbranching and merging code, profilingetc. 
  • An understanding of data processing and handling of large data sources 
  • Practical experience using ML/AI tools and libraries is a plus 
  • Experience with cloud technologies and software deployment in the cloud is an advantage 
  • Structured and team-oriented work style as well as analytical capabilities are essential 
  • Confident appearance and established communication skills are a requirement
  •  Willingness to travel within Europe and internationally, if the need should arise 
  • Language: fluent English, German  nice to have
